PAL Tutoring
Looking for a little extra help with your schoolwork? PAL’s after school tutoring begins Aug 30 for students of all ages. Sessions are Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning at 3:30pm. Tutors are high school and college students. Students or tutors interested in participating, call PAL at (321) 777-8336.
 
Satellite Beach Farmers Market
The Satellite Beach Farmers Market continues weekly at Pelican Beach Park, 1525 Hwy A1A, on Thursdays, 10am-4pm. We are pleased to offer produce, fresh bread, jams, handmade lotions and soaps, teas, honey, hand crafted jewelry, wood artwork, tiki carvings and more. All items are hand crafted. February 10-12    Locals Only SurFest   
Locals Only SurFest, held at Pelican Beach Park, is sponsored by the City of Satellite Beach, Villion Clothing and Long Doggers.  Gnarly Charley's Grom Surf Series will add categories for local kids, energy and passion for surfing to this great local event. Friday will include new categories for “Legends” and the Long Doggers’ Surf Team. For vendor information, contact Mark, at Villonllc@yahoo.com, and follow the event on Facebook for updates.

 

February 11    Cinderella’s Wedding
Cinderella will be getting married and you can be part of the guest list! Belle, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White and Ariel will be there. The event includes having your nails done, adding a touch of makeup and a hair clip. Enjoy a keepsake craft, dancing in the Ballroom and a delectable reception. Sign up by Feb 10. Paying adult must accompany child.

February 12    Satellite Beach Lion’s Club Car Show
Satellite Beach Lion’s Club 5th Annual Car Show, will be held from 10am-2pm at the DRS Community Center. Registration begins at 9am. Family fun includes raffles, door prizes, music, food and vendors! Contact Lance Smith, (321) 403-3971, or email lalink84@aol.com, to register your car or truck. (Cost is $20/car or truck). First 100 entries receive a goody bag. Awards for 13 trophy categories plus best of show. Support this great event - 100% of proceeds benefit local charities!
 
February 18    Antique Car Show
Satellite High School’s 2nd Annual Antique Car Show will be held at the DRS Community Center from 9am-3pm. This event is FREE to spectators. Enjoy live performances featuring SHS Music Program students, food vendors, bounce house, raffles and silent auction. All proceeds benefit the Music Program for Satellite High School. February 19    Cornhole Tournament & Food Truck
Come join in for Sunday Funday at Pelican Beach Park from 1-5pm as we eat and enjoy some beachside corn hole! Please register with Kelly at  (321)773-4409. Cost is $30/team or $15 per individuals in advance. $40/team and $20 per individual at the event. Last year we had a    basket raffle with over 20 baskets! This year we plan to do the same and they promise to be loaded with lots of local goodies! This event benefits South Beaches Relay For Life.


February 25    Samsons Island Open House  Click here to view Open House Flyer
Experience Satellite Beach’s very own nature preserve by visiting Samsons Island. Explore the island’s trails in hopes of seeing some of the abundant wildlife, then stay for a free, light picnic lunch. Demonstrations will be
on-going, and visitors can view or participate in programs on marine life identification, wildlife exhibits, oyster mat making, fishing, and bird watching. FREE boat transportation reservations between 9:30am-2pm must be made in advance by calling (321) 773-6458. Spaces are limited, RSVP early!
 

February 25    Kids Night Out
Start your weekend with a fun-filled night out! (For you and your child) This is a fundraiser for the RIM Competition Dance Team. They will provide a variety of activities including dance games, arts and crafts and game room fun. Pizza will be served and the night ends with a movie and popcorn. Don't miss the fun!  Ages: 4-11yrs Date and Time:  Saturday, Feb 25 from 6-10pm  Cost: $15/per person. Register in person at the SB Rec Dept by Tuesday Feb 21.

 

March 4    City-Wide Garage Sale    Two Ways to Sell!
Sell at the DRS Community Center 8am-12noon! Individuals or organizations can rent a 10’x10’ space for $15 in the DRS parking lot to sell their garage sale items. Space rental proceeds will benefit Relay For Life of South Brevard Beaches. City-Wide “At Home” Garage Sale
Sell from your own home! Satellite Beach residents can call (321) 773-6458 and provide your garage sale location for inclusion in a master “City Garage Sale” flyer listing all sale locations to be available for distribution on Friday, March 3.

 

March 4     PAL Garage and Bike Sale
Held at the Teen Zone in the DRS Bldg from 8am-12pm. Call (321) 777-8336 to donate items or for more information.
 
March 18    Satellite Beach Coastal Garden Fair
Join us at this Inaugural Garden Fair, hosted by the Satellite Beach Beautification Board at the DRS Community Center from 9am-2pm. This family friendly, outdoor fair will promote embracing nature and nurturing our environment while beautifying our surroundings. A variety of vendors will be on hand showcasing garden related products and educational displays. Beautification Board members will be here to answer any questions you may have. Funds raised go to improvements such as the doggie-waste stations installed along Cassia Blvd and Crotty Park, and towards equipment for Samsons Island.
